Grandma's House?

Julie Higgins approached us back in 2013 with the desire to build a new home based on her grandmothers house that she remembered so fondly from her childhood. We sent her to Dave Payne, who drew up an adorable bungalow styled home modeled after Julie's grandma's. Julie meticulously picked out all the details, fixtures, colors, trim, doors etc to replicate her grandma's house as much as possible, also adding some modern touches - soaking tub with rain shower head, wood look-a-like easy care vinyl flooring, 400 series Andersen windows with foamboard envelope for added insulation and energy efficiency. We trimmed everything out in beautiful 1x oak material which was common in early 1900's bungalows. Instead of an attached garage, Julie opted for a 3 car detached garage with 2nd floor for additional storage. The warm yellow siding and cozy front porch make for an inviting and charming entry into her home. Julie was an absolute pleasure to work with. We started her home in May of 2014 and she moved in the first week of October. She absolutely knew everything she wanted in her new home, and made our job easy. We wish Julie many happy, wonderful years re-living life in Grandma's house, and we can't thank her enough for choosing us to build it for her!

Thanks to Julie for her beautiful pictures.
